Summary

We are looking for a Procurement Coordinator Senior for the System Business Unit. The Procurement Coordinator Senior will lead within the Operations a support function to the Project Managers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :-

The Procurement Coordinator Senior will be responsible for monitoring and tracking the development and execution of all purchasing processes globally in the Company and will staff the Project Managers primary responsibility in:

• Interfacing the Procurement and Supply Chain functions on main and own manufactured materials and
• Managing the whole Procurement chain (Purchasing/ Supply Management/ Shipment/ Transport) of the Project minor and bulk materials and
• Managing the whole Subcontracting chain (Qualification/Tendering/SubContracting) for the Project site subcontract for civil, mechanical and electrical construction works.

A background in Purchasing/Procurement Coordination from a medium-to-large scale, global, multi-site Engineering & Construction Company or in a Power industry / Multi-Utility will be very useful as you work closely also with company functions such as: sales, estimating engineering and other key functional areas of the business.

On behalf and in close coordination with the Project Managers, the Procurement Coordinator Senior will perform:

• Coordination of the Procurement and Supply Chain function tasks from Project point of view
• Overall Purchasing Process Development and Execution Globally for the Project procured materials (bulk, minor, specific project materials and the like)
• Overall Subcontracting Process Development and Execution Globally for the Project procured Subcontracts in close coordination with the Legal/Contract function
• Purchase Order Creation (i-Procurement in Oracle environment) for above
• Use of Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) Systems
• Material Requisitioning Process and Material Status Report issue
• Project Purchasing/Subcontracting Expediting Procedures implementation
• Document/Records Management Processes compliance
• ISO9000 or similar Quality Systems knowledge
• Commercial and Contractual awareness
• Operational Performance Measurements
• Project manage the introduction of new toolsets including spec development, manufacturing monitoring, expediting report standardization
• Achieve cost, quality and delivery goals and objectives for the whole Procurement cycle of the assigned Projects.

Education, Experience and Qualifications:-

At least 7 - 10 years of progressively responsible experience in Procurement is required including at least 3-5 years Supervisory/Management experience in a construction and/or engineering and/or Utility industry.

• Outsourcing experience
• Extensive contract negotiation experience.
• Specific training in subcontracting according to Italian laws
• Superior communication skills including executive management, staff, operating line employees, vendors, sales and external customers.
• Strong analytical skills (i.e. cost modeling, quotation analysis, supplier selection)
• Knowledge and experience in the use of ERP systems desired.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Highly adaptable in a very dynamic and changing environment.

• Bachelors in Business or equivalent required. Advanced degree preferred.
• Ability to communicate in English and Italian.
