SunPower Corporation (Nasdaq: SPWRA and SPWRB) designs, manufactures and delivers high-performance solar electric systems worldwide for residential, commercial and utility-scale power plant customers.
The Plant Manager is responsible for the scheduling, coordination and timely resolution of all O&M issues, daily monitoring of the plant, preventive and corrective maintenance on site, coordinate the daily activities with the O&M technicians.
The Plant Manager is a “working manager” position that provides field support, as required, and manages a team of PV System Technicians and contractors to meet customer service level agreements.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• System Operation and Customer Communication
• Provides supervision, scheduling and prioritization of O&M Technicians work.
• Provide rapid reaction to system operational issues, tracking necessary maintenance and responding to customer questions and queries
• Responds to and ensures resolution of DAS/communications problems identified by SunPower Level I Monitoring Technicians that require on site resolution
• Responds to and ensures resolution of performance and operational problems identified by SunPower Level II Performance Analysts that require on site resolution.
• Coordinates the resolution of other performance and O&M issues in conjunction with the Central and Regional Operations support group and O&M Technicians. Follows departmental procedures and timing for all incidents and their rapid resolution.
• Conducts daily analysis of system performance for the site via monitoring & diagnostic tools and systems to maximize system availability and performance
• Regular communication with customers including service requests and reporting of work status and completion. Provide education on system performance and operation.
Field Operations
• Coordination and supervision of SunPower O&M Technicians, subcontractors and vendors.
• Scheduling and prioritization of O&M work on site.
• Ensure that necessary work is conducted efficiently and at low cost while ensuring the highest quality of workmanship.
• Records maintenance and commercial obligations records in central computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Perform system repairs, inspections, site visits, service calls and commissioning when necessary
• Responsible for ensuring that all work done by SunPower and contractors on operating systems is conducted in a safe manner, and that all parties have adequate liability coverage when working on these sites.
• Coordinate the purchase and delivery materials and services necessary for repair and maintenance of warranted systems

Education and Experience
• Bachelors or degree in technical field, preferred
• 3-5 years experience work with energy systems or construction
• 1-2 years supervisory management experience.
Language/Communication Skills
• Provide information to customers
• Fluent in Italian and English. Other European languages a plus.
• Participate in inner and inter department meetings
• Create written reports/memos/emails to communicate findings internally
• Communicate with vendors about performance of their products
• Communicate with Quality/Product Development/Purchasing departments about field and remote data findings.
Qualifications
• Good time management skills
• Knowledge of PV and energy systems and operation.
• Self–direction/initiative/ability to prioritize multiple tasks from multiple requestors
• People skills/Customer Relations skills – Ability to turn all interactions into positive customer experience
• Phone and email manners
